About Elevation Advising

Elevation Advising, LLC, is a Colorado-based consulting firm specializing in grant writing and grant management for nonprofits. We work with nonprofits around the country to develop and implement grant strategies, write and submit proposals and reports, strengthen and clarify messaging, communicate programming impacts, and improve organizational sustainability.

About Laura

I founded Elevation Advising in 2016 while living and working in the San Luis Valley. I had spent the first 10 years of my career providing direct services to refugees and immigrants in Colorado, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. I cared deeply about the work and saw an opportunity to have a broader impact by supporting whole organizations in meeting their missions with grant funding.

With an M.A. in International Affairs, I have always been committed to fostering positive social change, and I partner with organizations dedicated to social progress and inclusion. I have worked in diverse fields, including death penalty abolition, refugee resettlement, immigration, climate technology, early childhood education, K-12 education, local food systems, workforce development, pregnancy and infant loss, and more. My clients have included mission-driven charter schools, local nonprofits, international NGOs, startup companies, and small governmental entities.
